Ohio State Women's Basketball Releases 2023-24 Big Ten Conference Schedule
The Ohio State women's basketball team dropped their 2023-24 Big Ten schedule on social media Thursday, featuring several big-ticket home games over the regular season.
In total, the Buckeyes have nine games against conference opponents at home inside the Schottenstein Center, and nine on the road at various opposing arenas.
Ohio State begins their conference slate with a home game against the Penn State on December 20, before hitting the road for a pair of contests December 30 and January 5 at Michigan and Northwestern.
The rest of the games the Buckeyes play in their home venue span from early January to late February. Ohio State will host Rutgers (January 11), Michigan State (January 14) and Iowa (January 21), all in the first month of 2024.
The season concludes with an action-packed February which features high-powered games against Indiana (February 4) and Maryland (February 25) and Michigan (February 28).
Ohio State had a phenomenal season last year. Coach Kevin McGuff and his team kicked off the 2022-23 campaign with a 19-game win streak, the longest a Buckeyes squad had gone without a loss to open a season.
Postseason play got off to a nice start for Ohio State, whom finished as the Big Ten Tournament runner-up after overcoming a 24-point deficit in the third quarter against No. 1-seeded Indiana. This broke the record for the largest comeback win in the history of the conference tournament.
The Buckeyes then made a historic run in the NCAA Tournament to end the year, qualifying for their first NCAA Elite Eight appearance since 1993.
