WATCH: Star Caitlin Clark Injured By Ohio State Fans Storming Court After Upset of Iowa

Iowa Hawkeyes women's basketball star Caitlin Clark was injured after colliding with an Ohio State Buckeyes fan storming the court on Sunday.

The Ohio State Buckeyes just pulled off the upset of the season, taking down No. 2 Iowa and superstar guard Caitlin Clark in an overtime thriller.

Following the upset, the record crowd at The Schottenstein Center stormed the court.

Unfortunately, per a video from the crowd, it appears that Clark - who finished with 45 points in the loss - collided with an Ohio State fan as she was attempting to head to the locker room, falling to the ground hurt.

Fortunately, Clark was not seriously hurt, telling reporters that she only got the wind knocked out of her. She also noted that Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith already come and apologized to her personally.

"It's kind of scary. It could have caused a pretty scary injury to me. It knocked the wind out of me," Clark said after the game. "(Smith) already came and apologized to me, so I appreciate that. This is what comes with the territory. I'm sure they did their best to do whatever they could. Obviously, it didn't work, and that's disappointing."

The incident with Clark is something that Purdue men's basketball coach Matt Painter eluded to just 10 days ago after Nebraska stormed the court following an upset of his Boilermakers in Lincoln.

"We gotta do something about the court storms, guys," Painter told the media. "I just don't know why institutions aren't ready for it. Like, what did you think was gonna happen if they won? Spread the word. Spread the word before somebody gets hurt."

Caitlin Clark's Explosive Shooting Not Enough as Ohio State Upsets Iowa

Now, that is exactly what appears to have happened in Columbus with Clark - one of women's college basketball's biggest and brightest stars.

Neither Ohio State nor the Big Ten for that matter, have officially addressed the incident as of yet.
