Ex-Buckeyes WR Noah Brown Signs With Houston Texans
Another former Ohio State Buckeyes standout has found a new home during NFL Free Agency.
According to multiple reports, the Houston Texans are signing ex-Buckeyes wide receiver Noah Brown to a one-year deal.
Brown is joining the Texans after five seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. He helped the Cowboys finish the 2022 campaign with a 12-5 record. He recorded 555 yards on 43 catches and three touchdowns, which marked for a career year in Dallas.
Brown made for the second wide receiver the Texans have signed since the start of free agency. Houston's first signing came with the addition of Robert Woods.
Brown began his career in Dallas as the Cowboys' seventh-round pick of the 2017 NFL Draft (no. 239). He has appeared in 66 career games for 980 yards on 82 catches and three touchdowns.
Houston's wide receiving corps currently consists of Brown, Woods, Brandin Cooks, Nick Collins, John Metchie III and Amari Rodgers.
The Texans are still on the verge of departing from Cooks, who expressed his desire to be traded at the deadline in November - meaning that Brown could end up having a significant role in the Texans' passing attack.
At Ohio State, broke out during his third season with the program in 2016, catching 32 passes for 402 yards and seven touchdowns, four of which came in a trip to Norman against the Oklahoma Sooners.
