Carlos Hyde gained a measure of revenge against the team that didn't think he fit in its backfield back in August to highlight another Sunday of considerable impact for former Ohio State players in the NFL.

Kansas City felt it had no need for Hyde this season, so it traded him to Houston for offensive tackle Martinas Rankin.

That didn't appear to be something that would haunt the Chiefs on Sunday when Hyde fumbled on the Texans' first offensive play, setting up a touchdown drive that put Houston in a 14-0 hole.

But after that, Hyde made the Chiefs pay, rushing for 116 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries.

"It was big for him to come in here and do what he did," Hyde's teammate, quarterback DeShaun Watson said.

Elsewhere around the league, after a monster Monday Night Football performance -- two sacks, five hits on the quarterback, a fumble caused and a fumble recovery -- Nick Bosa was back doing Nick Bosa things for the 49ers.

Curtis Samuel had a fantastic touchdown catch in the Panthers win over Tampa Bay in London.

Michael Thomas caught eight passes for 80 yards in the Saints win over the Jaguars. Thomas started one New Orleans scoring drive with this 26-yard catch.

Teammate Ted Ginn Jr. contributed a 27-yard catch to the New Oleans' offense.

The Saints' defense starred in that victory, limiting rookie Gardner Minshew to 14-of-29 success for just 163 yards. Former Buckeye Marshon Lattimore registered the first interception of the season against Minshew.

And in Miami, rookie Terry McLaurin continued his outstanding season with four catches for 100 yards and two touchdowns to give the Redskins a 17-16 victory, their first win and a successful debut for interim coach Bill Callahan.
