Former Ohio State WR Julian Fleming is Projected to Land at Penn State
The Ohio State Buckeyes have lost a good deal of players to the NCAA Transfer Portal since its official opening nearly two weeks ago.
One of the most impactful losses of that group, was wide receiver, Julian Fleming.
Fleming came to Columbus from Southern Columbia (Catawissa, PA) High School where he was a five-star prospect and the No. 3 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle per On3.
And now, it appears that Fleming might have found his next home, with On3's Pete Nakos entering a projection for the former five-star recruit to land with the Penn State Nittany Lions.
When he came to Ohio State as part of the 2020 class, the Nittany Lions finished a close second to the Buckeyes for Flemings commitment, thanks in large part to the fact that he grew up just 93 miles from Penn State's campus.
That now appears to be playing a role in his transfer decision as well.
Should Fleming indeed pick the Nittany Lions, he should be able to go in and produce immediately - something he was never really able to do in Columbus - with Penn State in desperate need of playmakers for quarterback Drew Allar.

In the past four seasons in Columbus, Fleming registered 76 catches for 905 yards and seven touchdowns. 2022 was by far his best season with the Buckeyes, with Fleming catching 34 passes for 533 yards and six scores.
In his other three seasons, however, Fleming managed just one touchdown and 430 yards receiving on 45 catches.
