J.T. Tuimoloau: Ohio State Buckeyes Need to 'Trust Our Technique' vs. Michigan State Spartans
The No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes return home for the first time in two weeks on Saturday, hosting the Michigan State Spartans at Ohio Stadium.
Buckeyes defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau spoke to reporters during weekly media availability on Wednesday to preview the coming game against the Spartans.
Michigan State enters the weekend contest with a 3-6 record, but Tuimoloau knows better than to get caught up in wins and losses. The Seattle, Washington native said he expects the Spartans to come out swinging, and the Buckeyes will need to stick with their plan in order to get the win.
"They're gonna go out there and fight," Tuimoloau said. "It's not going to be an easy game, and they're going to throw everything at us. As long as we just stay within the game plan and trust our technique and do what we know, I think we will be good."
Tuimoloau and the defense have been one of the main reasons Ohio State is able to bring an undefeated record into the weekend. A pattern of slow offensive starts has dug early holes for the Buckeyes, which the defense has been able to get them out of with turnovers and tackles for loss.
The Scarlet and Gray defense is ranked among the best teams in the country, holding top-five positions in total defense (No. 5), passing yards allowed (No. 4) and scoring defense (No. 2).
No. 1 Ohio State squares off against Michigan State at Ohio Stadium on Saturday, November 11. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., with live coverage airing nationwide on NBC.
