Michigan Wolverines Analyst Connor Stalions Bought Tickets to 12 Ohio State Buckeyes Games Over Three Seasons
Last month, the Ohio State Buckeyes arch-rivals, the Michigan Wolverines, became the subject of national scrutiny when Yahoo broke the report about a sign-stealing scandal, centered around staff analyst, Connor Stalions.
On Monday, more details were revealed by ESPN about the depths of Stalions' involvement in the scandal, with the reports indicating that Stalions had bought tickets to over 30 games at 11 different Big Ten stadiums over the past three seasons.
And he did it using a credit card registered to his own name.
After the allegations came to light, Stalions would eventually go on to 'resign' from his position within the program.
Now, however, it appears that the Buckeyes were the majority of the tickets purchased during that scheme, with Stalions purchasing tickets to 12 Ohio State games over the last three seasons, according to reports from ABC6 in Columbus.
Per the report, those games were the 2021 matchups with Maryland, Purdue, and Michigan State, the 2022 games vs. Notre Dame, Arkansas State, Toledo, Wisconsin, Rutgers, and Michigan, and the 2023 tilts vs. Western Kentucky, Maryland, and Penn State.
The majority of those tickets were reportedly purchased on the opposite sideline from the Buckeyes bench in sections 22A and 22AA, which are between the 40 and 50-yard line.
In a separate report, CBS 10 WBNS in Columbus revealed that Stalions purchased a total of 27 tickets to those 12 games, eight of which were sold on the secondary market, while 10 were transferred.
The Wolverines have beaten the Buckeyes in each of the last three seasons, including a 30-24 win in Ann Arbor on Saturday.
