OFFICIAL: Buckeyes Land 2024 Five-Star CB Aaron Scott Jr. on Early Signing Day
The Buckeyes added to their defense on Wednesday on Early Signing Day with the signature of 2024 five-star corner Aaron Scott Jr.
Scott was the 19th commit and the first cornerback for the Buckeyes' 2024 class, picking Ohio State over Michigan back in July. He was another one of cornerbacks coach Tim Walton's recruiting wins in the 2024 classes.
The Springfield, OH. native was the top recruit in the Buckeye State for 2024, the second-best cornerback and the No. 40 overall recruit. During Scott's junior season at Springfield High School, he had 21 tackles, three for loss, five interceptions — two of which he returned for touchdowns — and a fumble recovery.
The 6-0, 170-pound cornerback also plays basketball and runs track and field.
Scott is set to be the first Clark County high school graduate to play for the Buckeyes since 2002 when John Adams (Northeastern) and Steve Pavelka (Shawnee) were both on the roster. They were both walk-ons.

Ohio State's recruiting class of 2024 is the third best in the country behind Georgia and Alabama, as the Buckeyes have five five-star recruits to go along with 12 four-star and four three-star recruits.
In the Buckeyes' offense-heavy recruiting class of 2024, Ohio State has 22 overall commits for the cycle.
