Ohio State CB Jordan Hancock Returning For 2024

The Ohio State Buckeyes are returning yet another key piece of their 2023 secondary.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are going to look mighty familiar on defense in 2024.

Despite finishing the season with arguably the nation's top defense, with multiple players grading out as Day 1 or Day 2 picks, it appears that Ohio State will be returning a bevy of talent from that unit.

On Wednesday, cornerback Jordan Hancock became the latest to make the decision to return, announcing his intentions on X.

"Breaking News," Hancock tweeted on X. "Jordan Hancock will be returning for his senior year at Ohio State"

Hancock became the third Buckeyes defender to announce his return on Wednesday, joining fellow corner Denzel Burke and offensive lineman Donovan Jackson who announced early in the day.

He is also the third key member of the secondary to elect to return for another season, joining Burke and safety Lathan Ransom. Which, with the return of Sonny Styles and corner Davison Igbonosun means that the Buckeyes should once again field one of the best secondaries in the country.

In three seasons with the Buckeyes, Hancock has played in 19 games, making 48 tackles with two interceptions and two sacks.

However, it was this past season that he exploded onto the scene, making 41 tackles, two sacks, two tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, five passes defended, and two interceptions - one of which he returned for a touchdown against Rutgers.

The other pick came in the Buckeyes win over Minnesota in mid-November.
