Ohio State Buckeyes Drop to No. 6 in Latest AP Top 25 Rankings

The fall down the AP's list comes after the Ohio State Buckeyes lost their first game of the season on Saturday against the Michigan Wolverines.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have dropped to No. 6 in the Associated Press poll following a loss to the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday.

Previously ranked second on the AP's list, a 30-24 loss to the Wolverines was reason enough in the eyes of the well-known publication to knock the Buckeyes down four spots to No. 6.

The Buckeyes were No. 3 on the inaugural list from the AP, and had just improved to No. 2 last weekend before falling to their lowest spot yet. Ohio State will receive their new placement on the College Football Playoff (CFP)'s list this Tuesday evening.

The future of the Buckeyes is uncertain, as the team no longer controls it's own destiny. Their rankings in both the AP and CFP polls give some insight into what lies down the road for the Scarlet and Gray.
