Ohio State vs. Indiana Game Predictions
The Ohio State Buckeyes will put their 27-game winning streak on the line against the Indiana Hoosiers in the 2023 season opener.
It is never easy opening a season in conference on the road. Just ask C.J. Stroud and Co. on the 2021 Ohio State team that escaped with a 45-31 victory against Minnesota to begin the season.
There's question marks with who will play the best in the Buckeyes' two-quarterback system and certainly on the offensive line that looked shaky in the spring.
Here are the BuckeyesNow predictions for the game.
Matt Galatzan, Managing Editor: Ohio State should take care of business against the Hoosiers. The Buckeyes have lost a lot, but as we all know, they do not rebuild, they reload.
Assuming the quarterbacks come to play, the Buckeyes offense will be too much for Indiana to contain, and it could be a route. No C.J., No JSN? No problem. At least in Week 1

Timm Hamm, Staff Writer: The only real question about this game is who will be starting under center. And even that won't really matter against the Hoosiers. Indiana will be outmatched at every position on both sides of the ball. This one could get out of hand very early.
Ohio State 51, Indiana 13
Cole Thompson, Staff Writer: Are there questions surrounding Ohio State’s offense with a new quarterback/coordinator running the show? Without question. Should that matter against a program like Indiana? Definitely not.
Ohio State 45, Indiana 20
Connor Zimmerlee, Staff Writer: Well, folks, we have finally reached the start of the season and Ohio State is kicking things off with a road trip to Indiana. While winning on the road in the Big Ten is never a walk in the park, the Buckeyes should handle business in this one. There might be a few kinks to work out at first, but don't be surprised if this game is over by halftime.
Ohio State 45, Indiana 20
Casey Smith, Staff Writer: Kyle McCord and Devin Brown are inheriting the keys to a Ferrari against Indiana. They don't have to be Superman, but just need to take care of the ball. With that being said, both quarterbacks will throw a pair of touchdowns each against Indiana Sept. 2. The Buckeyes have averaged a 50-burger against the Hoosiers in the past six contests, and they'll keep up with that trend in the season opener.
