The Ohio State Buckeyes have hired former Southern University defensive ends coach LaAllan Clark as a defensive line assistant, per an announcement from Clark on social media Wednesday.

"Truly Blessed!! Let's Work!! #GoBuckeyes," Clark tweeted.

Clark began his coaching career in 2019 at Prairie View A&M as a graduate assistant.

The CEO of LC Performance, Clark might be best known for his extensive work with active and former NFL defensive linemen. Those who took advantage of his instruction were Jeffrey Simmons, Danielle Hunter, and Ed Oliver. More than 50 defensive linemen in the NFL took advantage of Clark's teaching last season.

The hiring of Clark makes 2023 the second consecutive year the Buckeyes have hired a defensive line graduate assistant with experience working with NFL players.

Clark joins former Buckeye linebacker James Laurinaitis, another new graduate assistant hired this offseason, who will work with the linebackers.

Other graduate assistants already on staff include Mike Sollenne, who returns to Ohio State for a second year coaching the offensive line. Keeegan O'Hara, who worked with the Bucekeys' wideouts last season, left the Buckeyes last week to work as an offensive analyst at Minnesota.

Clark played collegiately at Grambling from 2017-18, recording eight tackles and one sack. He also contributed two forced fumbles during his time there.
