Ohio State WATCH: Jaxon Smith-Njigba Reveals Seahawks Throwback Jersey

Former Ohio State Buckeyes receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba is no stranger to good fashion, but his latest work with the Seattle Seahawks might be one of his best outfits yet.

Turn on "Friends," crank up the Nirvana and ditch your flatscreen TV because the Seattle Seahawks are throwing it back to the 1990s next season.

In a video the Seahawks posted to Twitter, former Ohio State receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba helped Seattle unveil its throwback uniform from the days of another former Buckeye in Joey Galloway. The Seahawks announced on a 1990s-themed website that they will wear the uniforms against the Cleveland Browns Oct. 29.

"The new Throwback uniforms merge the past with the present, paying tribute to the original color scheme and design elements while using the latest materials and technology for the modern game," Seattle said on its throwback website.

It’s the 90s. It’s now. It’s commemorative. It’s current. The Throwback uniforms are finally here.

Smith-Njigba's big screen debut screamed 1990s from start to finish. 

The video opened with a close-up shot of an old-timey alarm clock beeping on a desk next to a lava lamp. The camera pans around a room that a young sports fan of that time could only dream of, as Smith-Njigba flipped off his covers unveiling the new-look throwback uniform.

Smith-Njigba then walked over to a dresser, putting on headphones of an MP3 player — yes, one that had wires attached to it — before walking into the kitchen that looked like it was plucked right out of a 1990s sitcom.

After one bite of a waffle, Smith-Njigba strolled through a garage laden with posters of Seattle-based rock 'n' rollers Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Jimi Hendrix. While a grunge band played in that garage, the camera panned over to Smith-Njigba who opened the back door before stepping on the gridiron.

And not to make everyone who read this far feel old, but Smith-Njigba was born a year after the Seahawks wore these jerseys for the final time.
