Ohio State Buckeyes WR Marvin Harrison Jr. Adds to Impressive Resume
Marvin Harrison Jr. has been a force for the Ohio State Buckeyes this season and throughout his career.
The Buckeyes receiver had another tremendous outing on Saturday against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, recording four catches for 25 yards and two touchdowns.
Harrison has now hauled at least one touchdown reception in each of Ohio State's last five games, dating back to October 7 against the Maryland Terrapins. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native has also crossed the goal line in seven of the Buckeyes' nine games this season.
The outing in Piscataway, New Jersey was the eighth game in his career in which Harrison brought in multiple touchdown receptions. Three of those multi-scoring games took place this year, against the Youngstown State Penguins, Wisconsin Badgers and Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
Harrison and his two touchdowns against the Scarlet Knights are moving up on Ohio State's scoring-receptions leaderboard.
The St. Joseph's Prep graduate is now tied for fourth in program history with 27, alongside Cris Carter. Carter played for the Buckeyes between 1984 and 1986, seeing action in 37 games and amassing 2,725 receiving yards with the aforementioned 27 touchdowns.
Harrison now has 912 receiving yards on the season, putting him 88 yards away from 1,000 on the year. After recording 1,263 yards last season, Harrison is close to becoming the first receiver in Ohio State's history to record two seasons with yards in the quadruple digits.
Ohio State returns home for their next game, hosting the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday, November 11. The opening kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on NBC.
