Buckeyes Recruiting Against Notre Dame For Four-Star OT Guerby Lambert
The Ohio State Buckeyes continue to build their 2024 class through recruiting and the transfer portal. Already high on the list for the No. 1 rated tackle per On3 in Brandon Baker, the Bucks are also strongly pursuing the No. 2 tackle, Guerby Lambert.
But with recent crystal ball predictions, it looks like coach Ryan Day and Co. might have their work cut out for them.
Lambert listed his top four schools as Ohio State, Boston College, Notre Dame and Harvard. The West Roxbury, Massachusetts native has listed academics and faith as high on his list as football, which fits right in with Day's "family values first" mentality.
Unfortunately for Day, Lambert's three crystal ball predictions have him picking the Fighting Irish over the other three schools. But of course, the pursuit will continue until the commitment comes, and all indications are that will come sooner than later.
Lambert has been quoted as saying about Notre Dame, “… they just say how much it means to get me on their team.” No doubt the Bucks' recruiting staff is working hard to steer Lambert to Columbus in 2024.
Coming off a season that saw the Buckeyes lose in the College Football Playoff to eventual champion Georgia, staying at the top of the recruiting battle is paramount to maintaining a top-10 program and competing for a national title.
