The Ohio State Buckeyes are a little over 48 hours away from kicking off their regular season against the Indiana Hoosiers.

Both teams have plenty of buzz entering the game already. The Buckeyes and Hoosiers have spent the offseason in the midst of starting-quarterback battles, and developing their new additions from the transfer and recruiting portals.

But when a matchup is over a century old, history also adds some more juice to the punch bowl. Here are five fun facts for Saturday’s game between Ohio State and Indiana:

5. Buckeyes Dominate the All-Time Series - Ohio State enters this weekend with a commanding grip on the Hoosiers, having won 78 of their previous 95 meetings. In other words, the Buckeyes have a win percentage of 84.7% against the Hoosiers. Among the games from which the Buckeyes have not emerged victorious, Indiana has won 12, and five ended in a tie.

In fact, Indiana prevailed in five of the first six contests against Ohio State between 1901 and 1913 (the game in 1902 ended in a 6-6 tie). The Hoosiers outscored the Buckeyes 61-28 over those handful of games.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Coming to America and Good Morning Vietnam were the top-grossing movies from that year. Babies born in October 1988 will celebrate their 35th birthday this year.

The streak began with a 20-16 Ohio State triumph on November 16, 1991, and includes a vacated 38-10 decision from 2010. Prevailing over the Hoosiers on Saturday would put the Buckeyes one game closer to the longest, single-opponent winning streak, held by Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish defeated the Navy Midshipmen in 43 consecutive games between 1964 and 2006.
