Ohio State Buckeyes junior wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. was named a 2023 Walter Camp Preseason All-American on Friday.

Harrison Jr. was one of 12 college players and the only Buckeye on a "First-Team Offense" list that includes Michigan running back Blake Corum and USC's 2023 Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Caleb Williams.

Additionally, Harrison Jr. is one of only four players who earned 2022 First-Team spots to be given a spot on the 2023 preseason roster: the aforementioned Corum and Williams and Indiana kick returner Jaylin Lucas.

Named after the legendary Yale University football coach and player, Walter Camp is the oldest All-American team in the country. The first Camp lists were selected back in 1889.

Ohio State had a representative on the First-Team Defense list as well: senior linebacker Tommy Eichenberg. Junior wide receiver Emeka Egbuka earned a spot on the Second-Team Offense list.

Only four total wide receivers are selected as preseason All-Americans, two on each of the first and second teams. Alongside Harrison Jr. on the first team is Washington's Rome Odunze, and joining Egbuka on the second team is Texas' Xavier Worthy.

Harrison Jr. was tremendous in his sophomore season with the Buckeyes, hauling in 77 receptions for 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns, both of which were the most on the team.

It is yet to be determined which of Ohio State's quarterbacks will be tossing the pigskin to Harrison Jr. this season, following the departure of C.J. Stroud to the 2023 NFL Draft.

It is safe to say however, given his performances both last season and so far during spring practices, Harrison Jr. is set for another massive year regardless of whomever ends up getting the job behind center.
