COLUMBUS -- Making his return to the closest Ohio city to home, Penn State Nittany Lions QB Drew Allar should expect a big crowd of both supporters and Ohio State Buckeyes fans.

Penn State head coach James Franklin said he wants Allar to tune out the noise of his 'homecoming.'

"Everybody obviously is talking to him like that, so I am going to talk to him," Franklin said. "We don't really do things like that, but I am going to have a conversation with him because I can't control the things outside of our building."

Penn State comes to Columbus undefeated, and Allar is leading a stout offense that is outscoring teams by an average of 36.3 points per game. The fourth-most efficient quarterback in the conference has not faltered yet, as he has thrown no interceptions in his young career.

On one hand, Allar hasn't faced a top defense like the Buckeyes'. On the other, Penn State has one of the best pass protections in the country, a primary reason the quarterback has only taken four sacks through six games.

Despite the buzz of Allar's return, Franklin said he does not want him to think of this game any differently than another game.

"I want Drew to do the same thing he's done all year long," Franklin said. "I want him to prepare the same way. I want him to practice the same way."

Allar, Franklin, and the Nittany Lions kick off at Ohio Stadium on Saturday at noon on FOX Sports.
