Four-star offensive tackle Carter Lowe will be heading south to join the Ohio State Buckeyes for the 2025 season.

Lowe announced his commitment to the Buckeyes on Saturday afternoon, choosing the Scarlet and Gray over the Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama Crimson Tide and Michigan Wolverines.

"Overall the culture stood out to me," Lowe told On3. "It's something I knew I had to be a part of. They have made me feel extremely at home since day one. The relationship I had with Coach Day and Coach Frye was like no others."

Ohio State is not a far trip for Lowe, who lives near Toledo, Ohio and currently attends Whitmer High School. A little over two hours in the car will separate him from his roots in the northern parts of the state.

Lowe spoke highly of his experience being recruited by the Buckeyes. The 6-foot-3, 310-pound tackle said offensive line coach Justin Frye made him feel valued from their very first meeting.

"I'm closest with Coach Frye, he has made me a priority for them since the day they offered me," Lowe said in the interview. "Their plan for me is to be developed all around, as a person and a player, to the highest ability."

A critical addition to the 2025 class, Lowe ranks as the No. 85 player nationally, the No. 9 offensive tackle, and No. 3 player in Ohio per the On3 Industry Ranking.

Lowe will play his senior year at Whitmer High, before making the jump to the college level in 2025.
