WATCH: Ohio State Buckeyes QB C.J. Stroud Shares Thoughts on Michigan Wolverines Sign-Stealing Scandal

Former Ohio State Buckeyes star C.J. Stroud has now chimed in with his thoughts on the Michigan Wolverines sign-stealing scandal.

The Michigan Wolverines have been the talk of college football for all of the wrong reasons in recent days.

After being busted by investigators for their elaborate sign-stealing scheme that has spanned multiple years, the Wolverines are now under investigation by the NCAA.

On Tuesday, video and photos emerged of the alleged main perpetrator of the scheme, Connor Stalions, assisting Michigan coaches on the sidelines during their 45-23 win over the Ohio State Buckeyes last season.

After those videos came to light, former Ohio State star quarterback C.J. Stroud was asked about the scandal. And as one would expect, the Houston Texans rookie took the high road.

“They beat us,” Stroud said during a press conference. “It is what it is. I’m not super happy with that, but man I’m in the NFL now. I’m not worried about what happened in college."

Stroud also indicated that the Buckeyes 'had an idea' of what was going on in Ann Arbor, but said he remains unbothered by the scandal and is solely focused on his life in the NFL.

"We had an idea that stuff was going on but at the end of the day it is what it is. I’m not here to go back and forth with that. I’m a Texan now. It is what it is. I’m not tripping off that."

Despite the Wolverines having their elaborate scheme - in which they attended over 30 games for 11 different teams over the last three seasons - the Wolverines still fell short in the 2022 playoff, falling to TCU 51-45 in the semi-finals.

Ohio State, meanwhile, still managed to find their way to the playoffs themselves, also falling in the semi-final 42-41 on a last-second field goal.
