Ohio State Buckeyes coaches Ryan Day and Jim Knowles take the podium Tuesday afternoon to preview Saturday's road contest against the Purdue Boilermakers.

The Buckeyes and Boilermakers take the field at noon inside Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana. The game will air exclusively on NBC's streaming service, Peacock.

Ohio State enters the game with an undefeated record five games into the season. This past Saturday, the Buckeyes defended their home turf against the Maryland Terrapins, 37-17.

Purdue, on the other hand, sits at 2-4 after losses to the Fresno State Bulldogs (39-35), Syracuse Orange (35-20), Wisconsin Badgers (38-17) and Iowa Hawkeyes (20-14).

The Buckeyes have a commanding lead in the all-time series with the Boilermakers, holding a 40-15-2 record over the past 57 games. The most dominant of these victories came on November 2, 2013, when Ohio State shut out Purdue, 56-0.

Boilermakers fans don't have to go back too far to find their team's last triumph over the Buckeyes, however. Two meetings ago, on October 20, 2018, Purdue dominated Ohio State in West Lafayette, 49-20.

In fact, Purdue has won four of the last ten matchups with Ohio State, making this pairing one of the more competitive for the Buckeyes out of their Big Ten Conference opponents.

This will be the first time ever Buckeye Nation will be forced to tune in to Peacock to watch their team. Purdue fans have already had a game air on the streaming service earlier this season: September 30 against the Illinois Fighting Illini.
