WEEK 13 PREVIEW: No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes at No. 3 Michigan Wolverines

The latest showing of the historic rivalry pits the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines against each other in a game which only one can come out of unbeaten.

The No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes and No. 3 Michigan Wolverines meet at Michigan Stadium on Saturday, November 25 for the latest showing of college football's greatest rivalry.

It goes without saying given their history, but there is no love lost between the Buckeyes and Wolverines. With the Maize and Blue having prevailed in both of their last two run-ins with the Scarlet and Gray, tensions are at one of their highest points in recent years.

Michigan holds a lead over Ohio State in the all-time series, having won 60 of the 117 total meetings. The Buckeyes have emerged triumphant in 51 games, with the remaining six contests ending with a tie on the scoreboard.

Before Michigan's last two victories in 2021 and 2022, Ohio State held an eight-game winning streak dating back to a 26-21 decision on November 24, 2012. The last time the Wolverines won two or more consecutive games against the Buckeyes (prior to this recent pair) was 1999 (24-17) and 2000 (38-26).

One key difference between the last two games (the last few games, for that matter) will be the absence of Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh from the sideline on Saturday. The Big Ten Conference suspended Harbaugh from coaching his team on game days for the remainder of the regular season amidst an on-going NCAA investigation into illegal sign-stealing and in-person scouting by the program.

Harbaugh is still permitted to coach during the week, and will no doubt make sure his guys enter the weekend contest with a solid game plan for the Buckeyes.

Kick-off between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines is set for 12 p.m. Eastern this Saturday, November 25. Live coverage of the game will air on FOX from Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
