The Ohio State Buckeyes' miracle run through the first three rounds of the Big Ten Tournament continue Saturday against the Purdue Boilermakers.

The Big Ten Network's Raphael Davis said Tuesday that if the Ohio State Buckeyes "get hot," they could make it to Sunday's Big Ten Tournament final.

And with a potential win in the rubber match against the Purdue Boilermakers Saturday, they will do that.

Ohio State (16-18) made history Friday with its 68-58 win against the Michigan State Spartans, becoming the first 11 seed or worse to win a Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal game.

The Buckeyes were without forward Brice Sensabaugh, who was out with knee soreness, but that didn't stop them.

Guard Bruce Thornton continued his hot stretch, as he scored 21 of his 53 points for the tournament against the Spartans.

Another freshman, guard Roddy Gayle Jr., made his presence felt for the second-straight game, notching a career-high 15 points Friday.

However, No. 1-seeded Purdue (27-5) is coming off 70-65 victory against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

The Boilermakers beat the Buckeyes twice in the regular season, blowing out Ohio State 82-55 in the meeting in West Lafayette, IN. on Feb. 19.

Big Ten Player of the Year Zach Edey has continued to dominate, notching his 24th double-double of the season Friday. Against the Buckeyes in the second matchup, who were without forward Zed Key, he scored 26 points and hauled in 11 rebounds.

Ohio State has tied its longest win streak of the season at three and has won five of its last six games.

The last time the Buckeyes won three in a row in the Big Ten Tournament was as a No. 5 seed in 2021, but they lost in overtime to the Illinois Fighting Illini.

The winner will face the victor of Penn State-Indiana Sunday at 3:30 p.m. on CBS.
