Buckeyes Backup QB Lincoln Kienholz In After Devin Brown Exits with Injury

The Ohio State Buckeyes have been dealt a big blow, as starting quarterback Devin Brown has been sidelined with an ankle injury.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have taken a 3-0 lead over the Missouri Tigers after a first quarter in which nothing has come easy for either offense. Things may get even more difficult for the Buckeyes as starting quarterback Devin Brown was seen heading to the locker room after suffering an apparent ankle injury.

The sophomore quarterback was just three drives into his first career start with the Buckeyes. He appeared to have twisted his ankle on a third-down pass to Carnell Tate and picked up four of the seven yards needed to convert for a first down.

After initially keeping the offense on the field for the fourth-and-three, coach Ryan Day called a timeout to not only kick the field goal but also send out the training staff to assist Brown.

While Brown did return to the game for the Buckeyes fourth drive after suffering the injury, following their punt he was seen walking to the locker room.

It is not yet known if Brown will be able to return to the game. However, with Brown in the locker room, the Buckeyes will turn to their true freshman backup, Lincoln Kienholz.
