'The Best I've Ever Seen!' Ohio State Receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. Praised By Ex-Buckeye

During Ohio State's annual spring game, former Buckeye receiver turned NFL star Garrett Wilson made clear his stance on Harrison Jr's abilities and potential, adding to the junior's already long list of accomplishments ahead of likely his final season in Columbus.
In this story:

Every good quarterback needs a solid wide receiver.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are looking to have both next season, the former being between Kyle McCord and Devin Brown - two quarterbacks who looking to fill the shoes of C.J. Stroud.

Fulfilling the latter, however, is another Buckeye who has already proven to be at the forefront of Ohio State's offense: rising junior Marvin Harrison Jr.

The praise surrounding the receiver has long been given by the Buckeyes' OC Brian Hartline, who was quick to put Harrison Jr. amongst the top NFL prospects at his position next season.

Being praised by a coach is one thing, however.

Garnering praise from an already-established NFL receiver is another, and Harrison Jr. has earned that too.

Garrett Wilson, Ohio State's most recent first-round receiver, made an appearance during the Buckeyes' annual Scarlet and Gray spring game and had nothing but praise for Harrison.

"He's better than anything I've seen," Wilson said. "Watching Marv is truly an honor. ... He's got the right head on his shoulders, goes about things the right way ... but most importantly he's a great person."

Last season, Harrison Jr. led Ohio State in every receiving category, tallying 1,263 yards on 77 catches and scoring 14 touchdowns on the year. His numbers were enough to make him a consensus All-American and earn him a spot on the All-Big Ten first team, both of which add to his impressive resume.

In what will likely be another productive year for the junior, Harrison Jr. can also look ahead to his future: a likely first-round selection that could potentially make him the 90th Buckeye in that position.

So fans can expect to see big things from Harrison Jr. next season. His spring game only furthered that expectation, and heading into the offseason, the receiver will continue to grow behind the support of his coaches and teammates.

But he'll also have Garrett Wilson's seal of approval.

"He can ball," Wilson said. "That shows on Saturdays and shows during things like [the spring game]. I'm excited to see the success that he's having."
