Ohio State vs. Western Kentucky: How to Watch, Betting Odds

The Buckeyes take the field for a 4 p.m. game against the Hilltoppers on Saturday, September 14 at Ohio Stadium on FOX.
In this story:

When the Ohio State Buckeyes take the field for the third time of their 2023-24 campaign, they'll be facing another undefeated college football program.

Western Kentucky — while it does compete in what's considered a less competitive Conference USA — has established itself among the top teams in its division, and largely due to senior quarterback Austin Reed.

So far this season, Reed has led Conference USA in passing touchdowns, total points accounted for and has led the Hilltoppers to the top spot in passing yards per game.

His impact is clear, and if the Buckeyes want to continue their winning ways, they'll need to be sure to keep him as locked down as possible while finding their own groove on offense — something that coach Ryan Day and company are well aware of.

"It was really kind of a disappointing win," Ohio State junior cornerback Denzel Burke said following the Buckeyes' victory over Youngstown State. "We've got a lot of things to clean up. We're supposed to mug these dudes, and I feel like we didn't do that today."

With another chance to show off their offense and assert their defense, the Buckeyes will be locked in on finding a rhythm and stopping the Hilltoppers' at the same time. If they come out with a win, they'll improve to 3-0 ahead of their biggest matchup of the season so far against Notre Dame.
