Ohio State Buckeyes' Marvin Harrison Jr. Might Not Be 1st Receiver Taken In NFL Draft

There are some NFL Draft analysts that have LSU's Malik Nabers graded higher that Ohio State Buckeyes' Marvin Harrison Jr. Which one will go first?

Ohio State Buckeyes wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. has been widely considered the best pass catcher in football all of last season.

And while LSU Tigers receiver Malik Nabers was considered to be a close second, some NFL Draft experts think Nabors might be selected first in this month's selection process.

ESPN's Louis Riddick said this week that as of now, there are "many evaluators" who think Nabers is the best wideout in this year's class. Riddick said he didn't necessarily agree but did praise Nabers' skills.

"Nabers is just as capable of winning on short routes out of the slot with his smooth release, contested-catch strength and ability to break tackles as he is when aligned outside and running the deep posts, sails and go routes," Riddick said. "At 6-foot and 199 pounds, he can simply outrun corners in the deep part of the field and make the big plays that change games in the blink of an eye."

Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department surmises that three wideouts will go in the top 10 in this month's NFL Draft, with Harrison, Washington's Rome Odunze, and Nabers.

Those three, along with LSU's Brian Thomas Jr. and Florida State's Keon Coleman are all projected to go in the first round - indicating an incredibly deep wideout class.

Ohio State has an impressive track record of first-round wideouts recently, with Garrett Wilson going No. 10 overall in the 2022 draft, Chris Olave going next at No. 11 in the same draft, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba being selected at No. 20 overall in 2023.
