St Joeseph's offensive line has got to be one of the best in the country, and they're lead by Ohio State-bound Luke Wypler. Wypler managed to put together some of the best clips of technique and nastiness I've seen at the HS level. When I looked at the measurables, they explained how this performance was possible.

  • Height & Weight: 6'3" 280lbs
  • 40: 4.85
  • Vertical: 30
  • Bench: 340
  • Squat(LBS): 600
  • Deadlift(LBS): 575

I know using a 40 time to evaluate offensive lineman is like judging a taco truck by its paint job, (you judge it by the look on people's face outside the truck) but when you see his tape, it shows you that Wypler could not do what he did on the tape without that 4.85 speed.

He's an excellent downfield blocker, and has the athleticism to stay on any block he wants, as long as he wants, until he flattens them. Wypler has got an astounding pass set to compliment his mature style of play. He demonstrated this on tape when a blitzing DB came screaming off the edge threatening the QB's blindside. Facing an imminent speed rush, Wypler trusted his technique and gave a few kick steps to make sure the blitzer was committing to the edge. He quickly turned his hips with ease and sent the rusher to the ground as he was trying to turn the edge.

Wypler is also a gifted puller, driving his feet on contact, it seems he relishes at the opportunity to meet a filling linebacker in the whole.

Wypler is apart of an Ohio State 2020 class that leads the Big 10 in 247's and Rival's rankings and boasts the only 5-star commitments in the entire conference.

Check out Julian Fleming, future teammate of Luke Wypler and one of the two 5-stars committed with OSU's class of 2020.
