Ohio State BREAKING: 5-Star WR Mylan Graham Commits to Buckeyes

The Ohio State Buckeyes landed another massive commitment at the wide receiver position on Tuesday night, this time from 5-star Mylan Graham
In this story:

The Ohio State Buckeyes are scorching hot on the recruiting trail.

And on Tuesday night, that continued in a big way, with New Haven (IN) five-star wide receiver Mylan Graham committing to the program.

Graham, who ranks as the No. 4 wide receiver and No. 12 overall player in the 2024 class per On3's player rankings, picked the Buckeyes over pursuit from Notre Dame, Alabama, Tennessee, Michigan, Purdue and others.

“I just feel like they are the program I can trust the most with where I’m trying to get to (NFL 1st round), which Coach Hartline I kinda felt like it was a no-brainer with the track record and development ever since he’s got to Ohio State," Graham told On3. They run an amazing offensive system that gets the players the ball and opportunity to show what they can do. Every time I get there on campus I already feel like I’m home.”

Last season with New Haven had elite production, hauling in 48 catches for 1,149 yards and 13 touchdowns in his junior campaign.

In 2021 as a sophomore, he was productive as well, catching 19 passes for 277 yards and two scores.

With Graham now in the fold, the Buckeyes hold eight total commitments, seven of which are on the offensive side of the ball, including five-star wideout Jeremiah Smith and four-star running back, James Peoples.

And with his commitment, the Buckeyes vault to the No. 2 overall class in the country, behind only the Georgia Bulldogs.

Scouts Take:

Nearly 24 yards per catch anyone? Yea, there isn't a top college offensive coordinator not looking for that type of production, much less on a 6-foot-1 frame, which is just what Ohio State snagged Tuesday in Mylan Graham. The Indiana native is among the most coveted wide receivers nationally, naturally becoming a top target of Brian Hartline out of New Haven (Ind.) High School.

Graham racks up big yardage from both the traditional sense, with vertical speed and polished route-running at the second and third level, but he is just as deadly at or near the line of scrimmage on a short toss. He displays true dynamic ability with the ball in his hands, with natural make-ya-miss instincts to pair with elite quickness and the ability to get to top speed in a hurry. It's also evidenced in the return game, where the newest Buckeye also excels.

With room to add to a rock-solid frame and enhance strengths off the line of scrimmage and from an explosion standpoint, there is true five-star juice with Graham on tape. He bursts off the line on a low plane and makes defenders nervous, opening up the full route tree to win at all three levels. The length and ball skills he also has at his disposal allows for wins in tighter spaces and against defenders in position.

In all, Graham profiles as the 'next' big-time wide receiver at Ohio State, another feather in the cap for Hartline, and a complete pass-catcher who can break games wide open like former OSU first-rounder X over the last few years.
