Ohio State Rise to Consensus No. 2 Class in Latest Team Recruiting Rankings
The Ohio State Buckeyes have been on a tear on the recruiting trail as of late, landing nine commitments since the beginning of March.
And as a result, they are flying up the national team rankings, rankings as the consensus No. 2 class in the entire country, per Rivals, 247, ESPN, and most recently, On3.
Perhaps the most important addition in that group, was the quarterback, with four-star Air Noland committing to the program in recent days, and giving the Buckeyes their fifth-straight class with a four-star or better QB.
If the addition of Justin Fields via the transfer porta is included, that streak would stretch to 10-straight classes.
Since March 27, Ohio State has landed commitments from eight players. They include five-star wide receiver Mylan Graham, four-star quarterback Air Noland, four-star running back James Peoples and four-star linebacker Payton Pierce. Graham and Smith are two of the top four wideouts in the 2024 cycle, while Noland and Peoples are both top-100 prospects. Meanwhile, four-star interior offensive lineman commit Ian Moore is a top-two player at his position and four-star linebacker pledge Garrett Stover is one of the top players in Ohio.
The Buckeyes might not be done anytime soon either, with prospects such as five-star wide receiver, Josiah Trader, and four-star defensive linemen Darien Mayo and Jayden Jackson all recently including the Buckeyes as teams they are looking hard at.
Whether or not the Buckeyes can catch the Georgia Bulldogs at No. 1. remains to be seen.
But if they can continue at even half of the pace they are currently on now, they have a legitimate shot to do so.
