Fast-Rising DL Sean Sevillano Sets Ohio State Official Visit
Ohio State has picked up enough recruiting momentum to hold the No. 1-ranked college football recruiting class in America -- but it's far from complete.
Ryan Day's staff has been hitting the road during the spring evaluation period not only to get fresh eyes on top prospects, but to continue to push for summer official visits and beyond.
Over the weekend, Buckeyes Now confirmed a new visit date for one of the Buckeyes' emerging targets in Sean Sevillano.
The Clearwater (Fla.) Academy International defensive lineman, who took in a multi-day trip to Columbus to kick off the month of April, will return to OSU for his official visit to kick off the month of June.
The 6-foot-2, 320-pound rising-senior will be in town beginning June 2, in what could be a flurry of official visits before a college verbal commitment is to be made. Notre Dame, Illinois and Kansas are among the other programs in the mix for summer trips.
Sevillano courted the OSU offer before it came in March, signaling a shift in his recruitment.
"This has been the dream school since I was young," he told Buckeyes Now. "It was a FaceTime with Coach (Larry) Johnson and my parents, it was pretty sweet. We were all really hyped."
A native of Canada, Sevillano put up staggering stats during his junior season in 2022 while helping CAI to a Sunshine State Independent Association championship. He put up 74 total tackles, including 22 sacks, 17 tackles for loss and three forced fumbles.
