Coming off of a season that left lots to be desired, Oklahoma is eager to kick off a new chapter of football with Saturday’s spring game.

ESPN announced that the Sooners’ spring football game, scheduled for Saturday, will stream through their network on ESPN+ (subscription required). The game itself is set to kickoff at 2:30 p.m. inside Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

In addition to ESPN+, the game will also be available by radio broadcast on 107.7 The Franchise.

Oklahoma’s coaching staff, led by head coach Brent Venables, responded to a rocky 6-7 season by reeling in the No. 4-ranked recruiting class in the country, according to 247 Sports. The Sooners also added immediate help through the transfer portal, adding impact players and a significant amount of depth across the roster.

The spring game on Saturday will feature a new scoring system, also allowing each team to win points throughout the week.

Before the game begins, former Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray will have his statue unveiled at Heisman Park. The Arizona Cardinals quarterback won the 2018 Heisman Trophy at OU and led the Sooners to the College Football Playoff. The unveiling will begin at 11:30 a.m. and Murray will be honored in front of the fans at halftime.

In addition to the Heisman festivities, OU will also hold its "Party at the Palace" pregame fan festival at 11 a.m. The event will take place on the lawn north of the stadium. Per OU, it will include a variety of food trucks, interactive games and music.

Last season, Oklahoma’s spring game brought in a program-record crowd of 75,360. It was reported as the highest attended spring game in the nation last year.
