For the final time as members of the Big 12 Conference, Oklahoma is preparing to head to David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium to take on the Kansas Jayhawks.

The contest between the No. 6-ranked Sooners (6-0, 3-0 Big 12) and the Lance Leipold's Jayhawks (5-2, 2-2) will start at 11 a.m., and the game will be broadcast on Fox.

Kansas again started strong, reeling off four straight wins to start the year, but uncertainty at quarterback has caught up with the resurgent Jayhawks.

Preseason Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year Jalon Daniels has only played in three games this year due to a recurring back injury. Backup quarterback Jason Bean has filled in admirably, but Kansas still has fallen on the road to Texas and Oklahoma State, dropping the Jayhawks back out of the top 25.

Bean almost engineered a massive upset the last time Oklahoma played in Lawrence, however.

In Caleb Williams' second start for the Sooners, Leipold's defense shut out Lincoln Riley in the first half, forcing OU to dig itself out of a 10-0 deficit.

Still, it took a moment of genius for Williams to pull the ball out of the hands of teammate Kennedy Brooks on a late fourth down for Oklahoma to escape with the win and avoid the program's first loss at the hands of the Jayhawks since 1997.

The OU sideline looks completely different just two years later, as Venables will look to move to 2-0 against Kansas as a head coach after the Sooners dispatched of the Jayhawks 52-42 last year in Norman.

Oklahoma's trip to Lawrence will be the fifth time that OU has been featured in the 11 a.m. time slot this year, with the Sooners also kicking off in the early window against Arkansas State, Cincinnati, Texas and UCF.
