Oklahoma Lands Second Commitment of the Night With 3-Star WR

The Sooners have had a great Tuesday evening, landing two commitments in the 2024 class, including wideout Dozie Ezukanma.

Dozie Ezukanma, a 3-star 2024 wide receiver from Fort Worth, TX, committed to OU on Tuesday night.

Ezukanma received an offer from the Sooners after attending the Brent Venables Elite Camp on June 8, showcasing his skills in front of OU receivers coach Emmett Jones and company. Ezukanma is the younger brother of former Texas Tech and current Miami Dolphins wideout Erik Ezukanma.

Listed at 6-foot-4 and almost 190 pounds, Dozie is the style of big-bodied pass catcher that Jones and Jeff Lebby have been known to covet. With 15 offers from schools around the country, Ezukanma chose the Sooners over Oregon, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Miami, TCU and others.

Hailing from All Saints Episcopal School, the star receiver joins Hightower (TX) standout Zion Kearney and Franklinton (LA) speedster KJ Daniels in Oklahoma's 2024 class, giving future QB Michael Hawkins Jr. another target in this recruiting cycle.

After OU fans were beginning to grow restless following successful recruiting weekends for other schools around the country, two commitments in the span of a few minutes should calm the fanbase for the time being. Additionally, it seems as though there will be more to come on the recruiting trail for the Sooners in the coming weeks, with multiple big-time prospects set to make their decision in early July.
