Oklahoma's 2024 roster has been a long time coming.

The Sooners finally posted the official spring roster on Monday — the first day of spring practice — and there are a few notable changes as practice gets underway.

Reserve linebacker Konnor Near, who played primarily special teams in 2023, is no longer listed on the OU roster. Near, a senior who transferred from Division II Ferris State, still has his COVID year to play in 2024 if he wants to.

Adding muscle, losing fat

- Junior linebacker Kip Lewis, who stepped into the starting lineup midway through last season, has added eight pounds, up to 214.

- Senior linebacker Danny Stutsman, a three-year starter and All-America candidate, is up five pounds up to 241.

- Senior offensive lineman Troy Everett, who struggled to gain weight last year after transferring from Appalachian State and is likely down for starting duty this year at either center or guard, is up 11 pounds to 305.

- Redshirt freshman offensive tackle Logan Howland, who played in one game last season, is up 22 pounds to 306.

- Junior defensive end R Mason Thomas, who also has been trying to add permanent weight since arriving as a freshman, is up seven pounds to 246.

- Junior wide receiver Brenen Thompson is up six pounds to 165.

- Sophomore cornerback Jasiah Wagoner is up five pounds to 178.

- Senior cornerback Kani Walker is up five pounds to 208.

- Safety Robert Spears-Jennings is up five pounds to 219.

- Sophomore offensive lineman Jacob Sexton is down 10 pounds to 317.

- Sophomore offensive lineman Jake Taylor is down six pounds to 303.

- Senior wide receiver Andrel Anthony is down seven pounds to 183.

Freshman gains

A number of incoming freshmen have gained significant weight in their first offseason under strength coach Jerry Schmidt.

- Offensive tackle Josh Aisosa is up 17 pounds to 322.

- Defensive end Danny Okoye is up 15 pounds to 255 (he told media last week he had actually gained 25-30 pounds since high school).

- Offensive lineman Eugene Brooks is up 14 pounds to 334.

- Defensive end Wyatt Gilmore is up 13 pounds to 253.

- Running back Xavier Robinson is up eight pounds to 228.

- Defensive tackle David Stone is up eight pounds to 283.

- Safety Michael Boganowski is up seven pounds to 212.
