Anderson first revealed his top three, then later amended it to  top four and added Cal.

Anderson spent four years at Newberry College, a Division II program, before transferring to South Carolina and spending the 2023 season in Columbia. During his lone year with the Gamecocks, Anderson rushed for 707 yards and three touchdowns, also adding 22 receptions for 153 yards and a score.

Anderson was a former D-II All-American prior to making the jump to the Division I level. After announcing his plans to enter the portal on Dec. 6, the Summerville, SC, product officially entered on Dec. 8 and quickly heard from a handful of schools.

With Tawee Walker, Daylan Smothers and Marcus Major all entering the transfer portal, DeMarco Murray and company are looking to replace some of their lost depth. While Gavin Sawchuk was the team's featured back down the stretch, the Sooners are losing a combined 846 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns to the portal.

Additionally, OU's running back room will be filled with freshmen and sophomores in 2024, leaving Oklahoma in need of a veteran presence in the backfield. Listed at 5-foot-9 and 208 pounds, Anderson could be the perfect back to compliment Sawchuk, 5-star freshman Taylor Tatum and whoever else works their way into the rotation next season.

Still, the Sooners will have to beat out former OU head coach Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans to earn a commitment from the coveted transfer running back.
