Two former Oklahoma quarterbacks have added to their already great NFL season.

Baker Mayfield and Jalen Hurts were added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster on Wednesday, joining several former OU teammates next week in Orlando.

Mayfield, 28, produced the best year of his NFL career so far, with career-highs in yards (4,044), touchdown passes (28) and completion percentage (.643), and was rewarded with his first Pro Bowl accolade.

Hurts, 25, landed his second Pro Bowl nod after throwing for career-highs in yards (3,858) and touchdowns (23) while also rushing for 605 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Sooners in the NFL: Five Former Oklahoma Players Selected For Pro Bowl

Mayfield led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back to the playoffs, where they defeated Hurts’ Philadelphia Eagles 32-9 in the Wild Card round. Hurts led the Eagles to the Super Bowl last year.

Mayfield is a replacement for Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott, while Hurts is a replacement for San Francisco’s Brock Purdy, who’s playing next week in the Super Bowl.

There are now seven former Sooners in the 2023-24 Pro Bowl — all on offense: Chiefs center Creed Humphrey and Broncos rookie punt returner Marvin Mims for the AFC, and Niners tackle Trent Williams, Eagles tackle Lane Johnson, Cowboys wideout CeeDee Lamb, and Mayfield and Hurts.
