Kuol Atak, a 4-star forward in the 2024 class, committed to Oklahoma on Tuesday.

Hailing from Haltom (TX) High School in Fort Worth, Atak is one of the top 101 players and the No. 19 power forward in the 2024 class. Atak chose Porter Moser and the Sooners' over Texas, TCU, San Diego State and Oklahoma State.

Listed at 6-foot-9 and 185 pounds, the DFW native has long arms and is a solid rim protector in the paint. On offense, Atak is a great shooter who has a surprisingly good handle for a player of his height.

Given his skillset and body style, the strongest part of Atak's game is his ability to score on offense. While his weight could be an issue on defense early in his career, the talented forward's length should help him makeup for his lack of strength while Atak is still adding muscle.

Atak played AAU basketball with 3D Empire, a New Balance-sponsored travel team that participates in the PRO16 tournament circuit.

The 6-foot-9 scorer is Moser's second commitment in the 2024 class, joining Dale (OK) point guard Dayton Forsythe. With Forsythe's strength as a passer combined with Atak's scoring acumen, the Sooners could have a dangerous offensive duo in the upcoming recruiting cycle.

In the 2023 class, OU only landed two high school prospects. Already having two commitments this far ahead of signing day puts Moser and company on a good pace to add at least one more solid prospect to his 2024 group.
