Oklahoma Basketball Reclaims Spot in AP Top 25
Following two consecutive wins from Porter Moser and company, Oklahoma is back in the top 25.
In last week's AP Poll, the Sooners tumbled out of the rankings fresh off a double-digit loss to the UCF Golden Knights.
With a 16-point victory over then-No. 21 BYU on Tuesday night and a four-point Bedlam victory over Oklahoma State on Saturday, Moser's team earned the No. 25 spot in the newest edition of the AP Top 25.
The Cougars checked in at No. 18 in this week's rankings with Baylor coming in at No. 12, Iowa State at No. 10, Kansas at No. 6 and Houston at No. 3.
On the season, OU is 18-6 and has positioned itself well to have a chance at playing in the NCAA Tournament.
The Sooners were ranked as high as No. 7 this season before reaching a tough stretch of conference play.
Jalon Moore came up big for Oklahoma in both of the team's last two performances, going 3-for-3 from the field against BYU to finish with 11 points and six rebounds.
Against Oklahoma State, Moore scored a team-high 15 points, also adding eight rebounds, four blocks and a steal.
With seven regular season games remaining, OU still has time to bolster its NCAA Tournament resume heading into the Big 12 Conference tournament.
The Sooners will take the court again on Tuesday night when Moser's squad is set to square off against No. 12 Baylor at 8 p.m. CT in Waco. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
