Oklahoma continued its dominant start to the season on Tuesday night.

Hosting the Texas State Bobcats, OU’s defense flexed its muscles early to power the Sooners to a 93-54 victory at the Lloyd Noble Center.

Porter Moser’s team got out and ran early, turning four Bobcat turnovers into nine points to build an 18-6 lead just seven minutes into the contest.

From there, the Sooners (3-0) leaned on their depth to throw wave after wave at Texas State (1-2).

Moser used 11 different bodies in the first 20 minutes alone, helping Oklahoma build a 45-22 advantage before halftime.

Four different Sooners scored in double digits, led by guard Javian McCollum.

The energetic point guard scored 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting, Aldo pulling down a pair of rebounds and dishing out two assists in 26 minutes of work.

Two bench pieced in Le’Tre Darthard and John Hugley IV were OU’s second and third-leading scorers, with Darthard pouring in 14 points on 2-of-5 shooting from deep and Hugley nearly posting a double-double, ending with 12 points and seven boards.

Starting center Sam Godwin pulled down six rebounds of his own, as he made six trips to the free throw line en route to 10 points on the night.

The Sooners got buckets from eight other players on Tuesday night, including six different guys who connected from deep to see OU shoot 7-of-21 from beyond the arc.

Georgia Tech transfer Jalon Moore and true freshman Kaden Cooper both got back into the lineup, which was a bit of good news for Oklahoma’s depth.

Both players missed last Friday’s contests against Mississippi Valley State as a precaution, but Moore slotted straight back into the starting lineup on Tuesday.

Moore’s athleticism didn’t appear hobbled by the hamstring tweak, as he tried to play most of the game above the rim, ending up with seven points on 2-of-5 shooting and a rebound.

Cooper was steady again, stroking a beautiful first half 3-pointer to help post eight points on the night.

As a team, Oklahoma shot 55 percent from the floor, and won the rebounding battle 43-32.

The Sooners will be back in action on Friday night when OU hosts UT-Rio Grande Valley at 7 p.m.
