Oklahoma basketball continues to reach new heights under Porter Moser.

Following a week around the country ripe with upsets, the Sooners moved up four spots to No. 7-overall in the AP Poll.

OU handled business in its only game of the week, an 81-47 rout of the Green Bay Phoenix.

The jump comes ahead of a massive contest on Wednesday night that will pit Oklahoma against No. 11 North Carolina, who rolls into the midweek fixture fresh off a 87-83 defeat to the No. 9-ranked Kentucky Wildcats.

The Sooners (10-0) are one of four unbeaten teams remaining in college basketball, joining No. 3 Houston, No. 20 James Madison and No. 25 Ole Miss.

Wednesday’s battle against North Carolina will come at the Jumpman Invitational in Charlotte, NC, which will be the first road atmosphere the Sooners will have had to face this year even though the game is a neutral site meeting at the Spectrum Center.

“I was there last year (at the Jumpman Invitational),” Moser said on Saturday night, “and even our Florida game was all baby blue (in the stands). But we know they're a storied program, so our guys are excited about next one up.”

Tip-off between Oklahoma and North Carolina is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Wednesday, and the game will be broadcast on ESPN.
