Javian McCollum intends to enter the transfer portal, sources confirmed Tuesday.

As first reported by On3's Joe Tipton on Tuesday, the former Sienna College and Oklahoma guard has submitted paperwork to put his name in the portal.

McCollum is the fourth Sooner to enter the transfer portal this offseason, joining sophomore guards Milos Uzan and Otega Oweh and post man John Hugley. His departure continues the program's offseason trend under coach Porter Moser, who has had to essentially rebuild the roster each year since his arrival following Lon Kruger's retirement.

McCollum was electric for the Sooners in 2023-24, particularly in non-conference and early Big 12 play as he led the Sooners to a 10-0 start and a No. 7 peak in the AP Top 25. He averaged a team-high 13.3 points and a second-best 3.4 assists a game as Oklahoma finished 20-12 overall and 8-10 in conference play.

McCollum was named an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention after the 2023-24 season. His scoring production trailed off toward the end of the regular season after he scored 2 and 20 points in a one-week span against Kansas State on Jan. 30 and BYU on Feb. 6, respectively. He scored only 7 points but drained a go-ahead 3-pointer to beat the buzzer against Oklahoma State in Stillwater on Feb. 10.

As a sophomore at Sienna College, McCollum averaged 15.9 points and 3.9 assists per game. He was twice named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Week in a three-week span from Nov. 14-Nov. 28, 2022.
