There is plenty of Oklahoma softball flavor on the 2024 U.S. Women’s Elite Team headed to the 2024 Japan All-Star Series this summer.

Current Sooners Kelly Maxwell, Kinzie Hansen and Jayda Coleman were all selected to represent the Red, White and Blue alongside OU legend Jocelyn Alo

All four have represented Team USA before, and will travel to the Japan All-Star Series from July 4-8.

Former Sooner Jocelyn Erickson was also named to the team as a catcher from the Florida Gators.

OU led the way with four representatives on the squad, followed by Florida, Kentucky, LSU and Stanford, who all had two selections. Oklahoma State, UCLA and Washington all had one representative each.

Tiare Jennings will also represent the United States this summer in the WBSC World Cup Finals in Italy.

The OU co-captain was the only Sooner selected to the event that will take place from July 15-21.

Athletes were chose by the Women’s National Team Selection Committee based on evaluations from both USA Softball National Team events, trials and camps as well as performances at the collegiate level.
