Oklahoma Extends Offer to Second 2026 QB
Just one day after Oklahoma offered its first quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class, Seth Littrell and company extended another offer on Tuesday.
Faizon Brandon, a 4-star sophomore QB from Greensboro, NC, is the second QB to pick up an offer from the Sooners this week.
Listed at 6-foot-4 and 190 pounds, Brandon already has good size for an underclassman. The coveted recruit is rated the No. 74 overall player and No. 6 signal caller in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports.
The Grimsley (NC) standout has already racked up 12 offers, including solid programs like Tennessee, Florida State and North Carolina.
Brandon is also a talented basketball player, tallying 20 points, eight rebounds and two blocks in his last game on the court.
The highly touted quarterback prospect visited the Tar Heels last weekend and reportedly has visits lined up to Tennessee, Florida State and Duke.
Despite the competition from schools in Brandon's region, Littrell and company should still be able to compete for the fast-rising signal caller, as OU has a rich history at the quarterback position.
Even after two lackluster seasons, the Sooners are still stocked with former 5-star recruit Jackson Arnold, 4-star freshman Michael Hawkins Jr. and versatile 3-star freshman Brendan Zurbrugg.
In the 2025 recruiting class, 4-star junior Kevin Sperry has been committed to Oklahoma for nearly a year, reaffirming his commitment to OU in December after Jeff Lebby announced his departure.
"I'm locked in with Oklahoma," Sperry told reporters after Carl Albert (OK) won the OSSAA state championship. "Nothing but happy for Coach Lebby. Locked in with Oklahoma definitely. Their culture is different, Coach Venables, I love him, and Coach Littrell and Coach Finley too."
On Monday, the Sooners' staff extended its first offer to a QB in the 2026 class, 5-star Nashville Christian (TN) standout Jared Curtis.
Between Curtis and Brandon, OU's offensive staff has identified two very talented quarterbacks that will be tough recruiting battles to win. Still, it appears that Oklahoma is in contention for Curtis early in his recruitment.
While there is still plenty of time before either of the aforementioned signal callers has to make a decision, the Sooners building their relationships with the two sophomore standouts will be crucial later in the process.
