247Sports rank: 4-star, No. 149 overall, No. 5 IOL

Evaluation: A powerful offensive lineman who played all five spots along the line during his high school career, Eugene Brooks is exactly the type of physical offensive lineman that Bill Bedenbaugh and company need heading into the SEC. With a nasty demeanor at the line of scrimmage and the ability to climb to the second level, Brooks shares many of the same traits as previous Bedenbaugh offensive lineman who have gone on to play in the NFL. Additionally, Brooks plays with great effort and is willing to run 30-plus yards downfield to help lead block for a ball carrier.
