Evaluation: An OU legacy, Michael Hawkins’ is the son of former Sooners’ defensive back Michael Hawkins Sr. Hawkins is a good decision maker with the ball in his hands and doesn’t force many throws. The 4-star quarterback also knows when to tuck the ball and run but is still aggressive and keeps his eyes downfield. Additionally, Hawkins has good arm strength and nice touch on his passes. At the Brent Venables elite camp over the summer, Hawkins showed a good connection with fellow 2024 commit Zion Kearney.
