Patty Gasso and Oklahoma learned their schedule for the 2024 Mary Nutter Classic on Tuesday.

The annual softball tournament will take place Feb. 22-25, 2024, with the Sooners set to play five games from Friday through Sunday.

OU's first matchup of the event will see Gasso's squad take on a future conference opponent in the Mississippi State Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 23. This contest will be the first game of a doubleheader for Oklahoma, with the team set to take on Wisconsin at 8 p.m.

The following day, the Sooners' will meet San Diego State at 12:30 p.m.

In 2023, the Aztecs went 39-17 and rallied all the way into a three game series with No. 14 Utah in the Salt Lake City Super Regional. While SDSU fell two games to one, San Diego State is a solid early-season opponent for the Sooners.

Gasso and Oklahoma will close out the tournament with a Sunday morning doubleheader.

First, OU will meet Notre Dame at 9 a.m. on Feb. 25, before a matchup with Loyola Marymount at 11:30 a.m.

While the Sooners will play decent competition at the event, Gasso's team won't take on Nebraska or UCLA, who are both expected to compete for a WCWS berth this season.

Over the offseason, Oklahoma superstar pitcher Jody Bahl announced her transfer to Nebraska, instantly turing the Cornhuskers into a contender. Bahl was named the 2023 WCWS Most Outstanding Player for her efforts in the Sooners' third consecutive championship run last summer.

In the 2023 Mary Nutter Classic, Oklahoma rounded out an impressive showing by defeating then-No. 1 UCLA 14-0 in five innings.
