OU Softball: Oklahoma Adds Home Game on Monday

No. 1-ranked Oklahoma has added a home game to the schedule — and it’s q quick turnaround.
The Sooners will play South Dakota State on Monday at Marita Hynes Field, with first pitch at 6 p.m.
OU’s game Sunday against Omaha in the Mississippi State Bulldog Invitational was canceled due to expected inclement weather in Starkville, MS, so Patty Gasso and her staff put together a replacement game for Monday.
The Jackrabbits (13-9) had their own weather issues over the weekend, with two games at the Kansas Jayhawk Invitational wiped out by rain. SDSU plays KU on Sunday at noon before continuing south to Norman to meet the Sooners (20-1) on Monday night.
OU throttled the competition at Mississippi State — including the Bulldogs twice — by an aggregate three-game score of 29-3 and have now won 12 in a row.
The Sooners are also back home on Tuesday night (6 o’clock) for a highly anticipated showdown with No. 5-ranked Florida State.
The Sooners are 4-0 home so far this season, outscoring the competition 39-1.
