Jordy Bahl dazzled in the circle, pitching a perfect game against the Lions. The sophomore retired all 15 batters, striking out nine and only throwing 53 total pitches in five innings.

Offensively, the onslaught started in the first inning for OU.

A leadoff double from Jayda Coleman set the table for Haley Lee, who blasted a two-run shot to center field on the first pitch she saw.

Alyssa Brito reached base on a two-out single to keep the inning rolling, and then the Sooners capitalized on a Southeastern Louisiana mistake.

Kinzie Hansen popped a ball up to center field, but it was dropped allowing Brito to come all the way home and put Oklahoma up 3-0.

The OU catcher was able to advance to third base on the error, and Jocelyn Erickson brought Hansen home on a ball belted down the left field line to build the advantage to 4-0.

Oklahoma then doubled the lead in the second inning.

Coleman walked and Lee singled to put a pair aboard for Sophia Nugent.

Behind in the count 0-2, Nugent smashed a no-doubter beyond the left field fence to extend the lead to 7-0.

The Brito and Hansen connection then proved to be money again, as a Brito single and stolen base put a runner in scoring position for Hansen.

Not needing any assistance from the defense this time, Hansen smacked an RBI-double to plate Brito.

A series of doubles kept the parade rolling for Oklahoma in the third inning.

Alynah Torres hit the first double fo the inning, bringing Avery Hodge all the way home from first base.

Another Coleman walk added another runner on base, and Tiare Jennings brought Torres around and moved Coleman over to third base with a double into left field.

Up 10-0, Lee showed no mercy bringing both Coleman and Jennings home with a two-RBI double in-between the left and center fielder.

Brito closed out the five-run inning with a double of her own, scoring Lee and putting the Sooners up 13-0.

In the top of the fifth inning, Hodge kept Bahlโ€™s perfect game bid alive.

Lion first baseman Lexi Johnson looped a slow-moving ball over Bahl toward Hodge at second base, but the true freshman fired the ball over to first base, just beating Johnson to the bag to record the first out of the inning.

Bahl then retired the final two batters of the game to close out her perfect day. It was Bahl's second perfect game of her career after a perfect outing against Cal State Fullerton on Feb. 25, 2022.ย

Overall, Coleman finished 2-for-2 at the palate with a pair of walks, and Lee was a perfect 3-for-3, ending a triple short of hitting for the cycle.

Hansen also hit 2-of-3 against the Lions, capping off an explosive day for Oklahoma.

Oklahoma will return to action at 6 p.m. on Friday to take on Mississippi State, and the game will be broadcast on the SEC Network+ on ESPN+.
