OKLAHOMA CITY — Watch as the top-seeded Oklahoma Sooners took the field in an open practice session on Wednesday at Hall of Fame Stadium.

The Sooners will take on the Stanford Cardinal on Thursday for the second time this season, opening OU's stint at the 2023 Women's College World Series.

Oklahoma won the first meeting between the two teams on Feb. 10 10-1 in six innings in the Sooners' third game of the season.

Patty Gasso's team is carrying a 48-game winning streak into the WCWS, with OU looking to become the first team to win back-to-back-to-back titles for the first time since UCLA in 1988-1990.

First pitch between the Sooners and the Cardinal is slated for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, and the game will be broadcast on ESPN.
